Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Paro & Transfer to Thimphu
Arrive in Paro by flight; enjoy breathtaking Himalayan views during descent.
Welcome at the airport with a traditional ‘tashi khaddar’ (white scarf).
Drive to Thimphu (55 km, approx. 1.5-hour drive) through Paro Valley.
Stop at Chuzom, where Paro and Thimphu rivers converge.
Visit Tachog Lhakhang, a temple by Thangtong Gyalpo with a restored iron bridge.
Explore Thimphu, the capital, known for its blend of modernity and tradition (no traffic lights).
Visit National Memorial Chorten, a significant monument for locals and tourists.
Walk around Thimphu city center and explore Ka Ja Throm (formerly Centenary Farmers Market).
Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu (Altitude: 2,320m).
Day 2: Thimphu
Drive to Buddha Dordenma, a colossal statue at Kuenselphodrang Nature Park (51.5 meters tall).
Hike from Buddha Dordenma to Changangkha Lhakhang (approx. 1.5-hour easy walk) through scenic trails.
Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient temple known for its central statue of Chenrezig.
Explore Takin Preserve (Motithang Zoo), dedicated to Bhutan’s national animal.
Visit the Textile Museum, showcasing Bhutan's rich textile heritage.
Drive to Zilkha Nunnery, home to about 60 nuns, for a spiritual experience.
Visit Trashichhoedzong, the fortress of religion and government, originally built in 1641.

Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha
Drive to Punakha (75 km, approx. 2.5-hour drive) via Dochula Pass (3,088 meters).
Stop at Dochula Pass to view the Druk Wangyal Chortens and panoramic Himalayan peaks.
Arrive in Punakha, formerly the capital and now the winter residence of the Je Khenpo.
Visit Punakha Dzong, built at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637.
Walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s longest.
Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility, and stroll through the nearby village.
Overnight at the hotel in Punakha (Altitude: 1,300m).
Day 4: Punakha - Paro
Visit Wangduephodrang Dzong, restored historic fortress founded in 1638.
Drive along the scenic highway to Paro (125 km, approx. 4-hour drive).
Arrive in Paro, known for its cultural richness and stunning natural beauty.
Visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum housing various artifacts and treasures.
Explore Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong), known for its exquisite wall paintings.
Visit a traditional farmhouse, experience local cuisine, and try archery.
Overnight at the hotel in Paro (Altitude: 2,280m).
Day 5: Paro
Hike to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), a 5-hour round-trip hike.
Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th-century temple significant in Bhutanese Buddhism.
Explore Paro city center and local market

Day 6: Depart Paro
